Exploring The Path Through Conflict

exploring the path through conflict

Go-Focus offers assistance to clients that have a variety of goals for exploring life coaching in the first place. In some cases, people have a very clear sense of where they want to be in life, and all they need is some direction in terms of how to get there. Life coaching can provide the support for unleashing this inner potential, and can help to stoke the drive to persevere.

There are other times when the benefits of life coaching include exploring unknown changes, in order to gain the ability to define these goals. For many people, contacting a life coach actually comes from the sense of floating through life without a direction. Although this feeling can be daunting, it can also be looked at as positive, because it means that there is a deeper drive that is aware of the potential that exists, but is just unsure of how to access that creative force.

exploring the path through conflict

It may seem conflicting to hear that feeling lost can be perceived as a positive thing, but it also needs to be understood that part of enacting change includes embracing different views. This action allows for deep seated beliefs to be explored, and for clients to make their own decisions as to whether these ideas are still serving them, or whether they have become personal obstacles to change.

The Potential Of The Unknown

Another important point to understand about feelings of aimlessness is that these states of being can frequently lead to the most transformative situations in life. This is because the self is not holding on to a specific road for life and the unknown might even bring a very positive outcome. The benefit of life coaching is the ability to understand what resonates within and to focus this resonance on tangible goals and achievements.

When this is done as a way of uncovering what motivates the self, then empowerment results. The willingness and the drive still comes from within, but life coaching helps to fill in the details of charting a path through the unknown and it also gives the extra support to follow this path to its goal. As people begin to truly believe in themselves, enormous transformation can all of a sudden occur.

Everyone experiences moments of uncertainty in life, but admitting to this uncertainty can be the first step in enacting change. Feeling lost is merely the state of mind that exists before a person decides on their direction. This makes choice a necessary part of finding empowerment, including the decision to be willing to embrace one’s personal power. The choice to work with a Life Coach can actually be the first step.

The Steps To Forming Goals You’ll Be Able To Hit

The Steps To Forming Goals You’ll Be Able To Hit

Goals are achievements we want to make for ourselves, and whether in life or in business, there is a great method to forming and setting goals you can hit. A goal can be viewed as an endpoint or a milestone on a journey, and no matter what type of goal you’re looking to set for yourself, this is what I work on with many of my clients at Go-Focus.

The first step to forming your goal will be getting to know a little bit more about yourself. Looking within yourself and seeing what you really want, what you’re really made of, and what you can accomplish can make setting and hitting these goals much easier, as you gain a better perspective on where you are and where you want to go. If you find yourself having trouble really getting to know yourself, Points of You-The Coaching Game can be a great help!

Next, you’ll want to write your goals down. There is something “official” about putting it on paper that can solidify it in your mind and remind you just how important your goal may be. Along with the goal you want to reach, give yourself a start date to begin working towards this goal, an end date of when you wish to reach it by, and any milestones you may want to hit while working towards your destination.

During the course of your journey, you’ll want to revisit that little piece of paper you have with your goals written on it, so keep this in a safe place for further use. As you are working towards your goal, you may notice that you need to revise your goal or set better deadlines for yourself, and this is something you shouldn’t feel negatively about. During the beginning, you may not have realized every little thing the goal would entail, so it’s important to be open and realistic if you plan to reach success.

As you accomplish your goals, you can then set new goals for the future, and use this method as an excellent form of personal and professional growth. By setting goals, experiencing the work, and keeping your goals within the realm of realism, you can see just what you’re capable of in terms of pushing yourself on the way to success.

Always remember that the journey you take to reach your goal is just as important as the success of making it there!

5 Tips To Keep You Motivated

5 tips to keep you motivated

When you first start working towards a goal, you feel a surge of motivation. You plan out the steps and your excited for the end result. However, after a few months, weeks, or even days it can be hard to keep that motivation up. The energy you first had isn’t really there anymore. Small obstacles start getting in the way of progress and makes you feel like your trying to do the impossible. This can be especially true in December, that last month of the year with so many distractions.

Don’t give up on your goals just yet! Check out these 5 tips to keep you motivated!

  1. Act like it’s not a choice. When your goals seem like a choice, you start questioning and comparing it to other choices you could be making. At first you may only skip a day or cheat a little, but eventually you will find more and more reasons to quit rather than continue. If your goal is truly important to you, it can’t feel like a choice. It is not an option, it is a mission.
  2. Create smaller goals within the main goal. It’s good to dream big, but it can make your goal feel unreachable sometimes. This can greatly hurt your confidence and undermine all the progress you have already made. Finding little stepping stones to your goal can help you see just how far you have come and gives you something to look forward to. You can even reward yourself each time you accomplish one! I believe in celebrating yourself an this can be as well in small ways as in big ways.
  3. Remind yourself why this goal matters. It is easy to forget why you started this goal in the first place. So before you even begin your goal, write a list of reasons why this goal is important to you. List every reason you can think of, even the silly ones. Then every time you start to feel yourself lose motivation, you can look at that list and remember Who you will be when you reach this goal.
  4. The most important reminder that should be on that list is you. Sometimes you may feel that your goal is a waste of time because it doesn’t directly benefit anyone else or because it is something you want for yourself. Your personal development is worth all the time and effort this goal takes to achieve. Don’t you forget it!
  5. There is no shame in needing a little help. You may feel like you need to take on the world yourself to make this goal happen, but that’s not true. Having those around you help and support your decision to do this can really make a difference. Professional help isn’t a bad idea either. Life coaches can be a wonderful way to get the support and assistance you need to stay motivated. You can call or email Go-Focus Coaching to find out more about how we can help you accomplish your goals.

Opening Doors By Discovering What Is Within You With The Points Of You Game

Opening Doors By Discovering What Is Within You With The Points Of View Game

Even people who have been following a successful path, can experience times when they wonder if they are really making all the right decisions. This is normal. For many questioning themselves is a reaction when the appearance of achievement is not always the same as the feelings that are within.

The truth is that everyone has a tendency to ascribe happiness and fulfillment to outside factors. And these feelings can occur about anything, from family to career, but as long as internal joy is still rated as an aspect of outside situations, there is then possibility to experience a feeling of being disconnected. What eventually happens is a period of self questioning.

At Go Focus, many clients find that they need to move through this type of self examination in order to truly find fulfillment.

  • Is this what I really want?
  • Who am I on the inside?
  • How can I lift my perspective to the next level?
  • Is my business really my life?
  • What am I actually doing?

Self questioning is actually a very positive approach to life, because it opens the door to (self) reflection and this is the first step for inner and outer growth. By daring to ask these questions and honestly searching for the answers, people are able to find a greater connection to who they really are on the inside, and this is opening the door to finding real happiness.

Understanding Connection And Dependence

As a life coach, I help guide my clients through this journey, also because the process of self reflection sometimes has its challenges. Mirroring with your life coach often reveals answers we couldn’t see ourselves, by ourself. The mirroring helps to show that outside situations can bring feelings of achievement and success, but it can also be important to understand that they are not the source. Generating a healthy understanding of the difference between finding connection or being dependent on an outside event can make an impact upon experiencing real success.

Part of exploring these questions and connections can arise from delving into parts of the personality that have become lost within the routines of everyday responsibility. We often use the Points of You Game to help raise inner awareness, by using the photo cards and words/themes and ask clients to connect these to the topics they want to explore. As a result, clients are able to gain a better relationship with their inner self, which also leads to a better relationship with the surrounding world.

The real insight is often that that the motivation, drive, and joyfulness for any achievement comes from an acknowledgement for one’s own abilities and to celebrate the effort and not just the outcome. While outside conditions can contribute to happiness, they are not the true source. As individuals embrace this awareness, they are also able to embrace the concept that anything may be possible, and this opens up doors to new opportunities.

Tips for Growing Your Small Business

tips for growing your small business

You’ve finally established yourself with the title of Entrepreneur. You’ve gotten your small business off of the ground and are ready to see it expand. Here are some tips and tools on how to move your small business into the big leagues.

Target Audience

What message are you looking to implement into your brand? You’ll want your brand to have a strong message that captures your audience. Making sure that you and your employees get behind your brand is essential. The greatest message can be unsuccessful if it doesn’t resonate with audiences. It is always important to establish an emotional connection with your audience so that they are attracted to everything your business has to offer. Always look for the WHY: WHY are you in this business? And WHY do people want you (and your business) in their life?

Networking

Once you’ve found your target audience and are ready to connect to them, you may want to find ways to reach them. Networking is necessary to open up various channels to reach your audience on a broader level.

Look for area events where your product might be well received and do your research on prospective contacts. Establish an attainable goal for the number of quality contacts you’d like to meet and be prepared to follow up with them. You will want to follow up with them no more than 48 hours after your initial meeting, so a good number to start with is five. Be careful not to overdo it and keep the number manageable.

Keep Up With The Times

Technology is forever changing, so it is important to be aware of the technology available to you and take the necessary steps to implement it into your small business. Once you’ve established a solid ground for your business, you’ll want to remove the training wheels so it can soar.

Maintain Low-Level Stress

Being a new business owner can be stressful. Many small business owners also maintain full or part-time jobs. The stress of a new business can build up over time. An overworked entrepreneur can sabotage their own business by sacrificing quality. It may be wise also to invest in some de-stressing techniques such as personal or professional life coaching.

GoFocus provides:

  • Personal Coaching
  • Business/Professional Coaching

You can choose the style of coaching to fit your needs and feel confident that with our coaching the individual comes first. We will give you support in growing your small business while implementing techniques to help you maintain a low-stress life so that you can meet the demands of today’s fast growing world.

The Process Of Gaining Clarity

It is a common aspect of human development for individuals to face times when answers appear unknown. The result is often a sense of feeling lost and lacking direction, although many people will also still have a sense that there is some purpose which needs to be found. For some individuals, this may feel like a bleak obstacle, that can neither be seen nor overcome, while others may feel as though they are able to see a direction, but only as though through a haze.

If any of these emotions are something that you have experienced, then you should be congratulated, because it means that you are human.

Facing challenges and considering change is a part of the social condition, and it is also very natural. What happens, however, is that feelings of lack of worth or even embarrassment will cause individuals to avoid addressing these concerns. In truth, as many as half the people you encounter in your day could be experiencing these same doubts, but people are prone to hiding these inner aspects of self.

Breaking Through Barriers and Gaining Clarity

This behavior of sublimation is one that we frequently encounter at Go-Focus, and is also one of the greater benefits that life coaching can offer. It should also be understood that some of the disassociation from the unpleasant feelings and lack of purpose is also a subconscious defense mechanism. This is because people become so used to hiding their inner turmoil that they will trend towards reaction without thought.

However, life coaching also gives people a safe place in which to explore these feelings and to begin working through solutions. By opening up and moving through the fear, many individuals find that this release can allow purpose to become more clear. In letting go of fear, a person is also able to finally open up to possibilities.

The process of finding purpose and clarity will always be a personal one, but many tools can also help to trigger insight, regardless of the root cause of obstruction. The Points of You Game is one such resource that can tap into the inner spirit and allow for a re-emergence of self. By utilizing subtle triggers and introspection, the images and phrase cards of the game can facilitate a person in unlocking that vibrant being that knows change is beneficial, and longs for empowered transformation.

Truly, the first step to breaking through the barriers of fear is the willingness to admit that change is desired. In this respect, life coaching can also provide guidance along this path. The result is that personal growth becomes a foundation for all other factors in life, including happiness, family, and even career.

As In Life, So In Business, Unique we are.

Small business owners can hold immense excitement about starting out on the entrepreneurial journey. This career choice can have unlimited potential and can also offer a sense of freedom that is based on the ability to truly do what one loves. While most owners are aware of the fact that it can take a transition period after starting the new company to actually see any growth, there is also a point at which owners can begin to question whether there is a more effective way to expand the company.

At Go Focus, we often see business start ups that are struggling to find their rhythm. What is most important to note is that the frustration over lack of business growth can also linked to personal growth. Even though the entrepreneur is now in charge of their own potential, they may still be mentally operating in the same way as they did when they were employed by someone else.

go focus unique

We are all UNIQUE

It is necessary to understand that over the course of a lifetime, everyone generates mental constructs of the world, which are based on past experiences. Although the formative event may be in the past, the perception that is generated does affect the present and the future. This is because these beliefs have now become the way that a person interacts with the rest of the world, and these behaviors influence the way that others re-act in return.

Many of these mental constructs can also be very limiting. Just because a person has taken the action to head in a new direction does not always mean that they fully believe in this new direction. This does not mean that the choice is not what they want, but it can mean that the person is not entirely committed to the idea that they deserve what they want.

One of the highly beneficial things that life coaching can offer is the outlet to examine these beliefs and reform them into positive thought constructs. A beneficial tool that can be used both for personal exploration and for building a healthy company culture is the Points Of You Game. This resource offers the chance to interact with self on a deeper level and to uncover hidden motivations and associations that can raise personal awareness.

By raising this awareness, owners often find that they are able to uncover new ways to grow a business. This occurs when personal and professional goals are both balanced and resonate with one another. The result is that the entirety of a person’s being is now able to commit to the journey of progress.
